With the official debut of the new model of 2015 BMW M4 Coupe or 2015 BMW F82, which can change two-door 3 Collection models when it goes on sale later in 2013, comes the inevitable BMW M-Efficiency hi-po variant. If these spy pictures from CarPix are any indication, the new luxury sports car will obtain an aggressive design that’s wholly distinctive from both the BMW M3 sedan and the usual 4 series.
Bimmerpost releases new renderings of the rumored 2015 BMW M4 (2015 BMW F82) Coupe based on the recent spy photos of the vehicle. It is given sportier and sleeker kidney grilles and headlights and gets similar front apron/bumper styling as the F80 M3, M6 and 1M. What do you think of the look so far?
Clearly seen are lifeless giveaway M design details like a deeper front air dam, widened rear fenders housing tires sized 275/35/19 or so, quad exhaust outlets, and a brand new boat-deck rear spoiler that juts far outward from the M4′s trunk line.
In keeping with a collection of official tidbits and educated guesses from our Bimmerphile colleagues at F30Post.com, the new M4 will share the 2014 M3′s multi-turbo inline six-cylinder engine, with somewhere in the neighborhood of 440 horsepower and 395 lb-ft. of torque. That is around an additional 100 lb-ft. from the present M3 (accessible now!) with its naturally aspirated V8. Rumors persist a few tri-turbo engine, with two conventional exhaust-gasoline turbos in addition to a new electric turbocharger that will help eliminate turbo lag and enhance low-finish response. We wouldn’t be at all stunned if power figures for the M4 slightly eclipse the M3 Sedan as BMW seeks to add an additional dose of sport to its two-door models.
The F80 M3 and F82 M4 will be powered by an inline 6 cylinder engine with multiple turbochargers, pushing the engine’s output to roughly 450 horsepowers. The engine is now rumored to be an extensively reworked and reinforced N55 6-cylinder engine with a strengthened aluminium block with a heavily modified cylinder head. The Induction know-how is claimed to be utterly new as will be the newest bi-vanos variable valve timing.
The F80 M3 / F82 M4 is not going to be constructed extensively from carbon fiber (CFRP) as some earlier reviews had speculated. Because this next generation M3/M4 began growth two years ago, it’s stated to have been too early to benefit from BMW’s CFRP developments with the later introduction of the BMW i vehicles/project. The primary model (besides the i automobiles) that may have intensive CFRP included into its construction will be the next technology 7 Sequence, as reported earlier.
Even without intensive CFRP building, the following M3/M4 shall be lighter than the current M3 sedan and 2015 BMW F82 coupe nevertheless, owing to its new aluminum chassis, and aluminum and strengthened plastic physique panels.
